Alina Gonzalez of Dudley couldn’t stop shaking after a $5 scratch-off won her the first $200,000 top prize in a new lottery game.
“I’ve got this adrenaline running through my body,” she laughed. “I’m still a little shaky.”
Gonzalez said she was in shock when she saw how much she won.
“You don’t expect to win but I guess you never really know,” she said.
Gonzalez bought her lucky Mega Bucks ticket Thursday morning from Dudley Food Mart on Fox Drive in Dudley.
She arrived at lottery headquarters later that day to claim her prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $144,021.
Gonzalez plans to use her winnings to buy a home.
The Mega Bucks game debuted this month with five top prizes of $200,000. Four $200,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
