Saturday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1 million prize on a ticket bought in Warrenton.
The winner bought the lucky $2 ticket from Tobacco Plus on East Macon Street in Warrenton. The ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls to win $1 million. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.
The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize.
Saturday’s drawing also saw a $200,000 winning ticket from Johnston County. That $3 Power Play ticket was purchased at the Speedway on North Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield.
Monday’s Powerball drawing offers a $633 million jackpot, or $277.3 million in cash. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
Powerball is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
