Salisbury resident Cristien Breton just hit a second stroke of lottery luck when he won $100,000 on a scratch-off Thursday night.
Breton previously won $2 million in August 2024 on a Platinum scratch-off.
“I could not believe it happened again,” he laughed. “I’ve been very lucky.”
Breton said he already has plans for his winnings.
“I took care of my mom the last time and this time I want to help take care of the community,” he said. “I want to help underprivileged kids who are going back to school.”
Breton bought his lucky $100,000 Cash Payday scratch-off from the Food Lion on Mahaley Avenue in Salisbury. He arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to claim his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $72,018.
“It feels awesome,” Breton said. “I am definitely blessed.”
The $100,000 Cash Payday game debuted in March with 80 $100,000 top prizes. Fifty-six $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
