Jurea Bristow of Creedmoor was mid pedicure when she got a feeling that she had won big playing Cash 5 on Saturday.
“My right hand started itching and I thought, ‘I’m going to get some money,’” said Bristow.
She logged into her NC Lottery Official Mobile App to find out she had won the $146,094 jackpot.
“I really won!” she exclaimed.
Bristow bought her $1 Quick Pick ticket using Online Play. She matched all five white balls, the odds of which are 962,598.
Bristow arrived at the lottery headquarters on Thursday to claim her prize. After state and federal tax withholdings, she took home $105,203.
She plans to save her winnings.
Friday’s Cash 5 drawing features a $130,000 jackpot.
