Monday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1 million winning ticket bought in Denver.
The winner purchased the lucky $2 ticket from 7-Eleven on Atwater Lane in Denver. The ticket matched the numbers on all five white balls to win $1 million. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.
The winner has 180 days after the drawing to claim the prize.
Monday’s drawing also saw a $50,000 winning ticket from Brunswick County. That $2 ticket was purchased at Circle K on River Road in Belville. That player matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win the prize. The odds of that win are 1 in 913,129.
Wednesday’s Powerball drawing offers a $409 million jackpot, or $170.2 million in cash. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
Powerball is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
