How To Play

Pick four numbers from 0 to 9.
Choose Quick Pick to have the terminal randomly pick numbers for you.
Choose the way you’d like to play (Play Type):
- Exact: Selected numbers must match winning numbers in order drawn.
- Any Order: Selected numbers must match winning numbers drawn, but can be in any order.
- 50/50 (Exact/Any): Combines Exact and Any Order plays so that you win either way the numbers are drawn. If numbers match exactly, you win both prizes.
- Combo: Provides an Exact play for all possible combinations of the numbers you selected on a single ticket.
- Pairs (Front or Back): Pick two numbers and specify Front Pair or Back Pair by checking the appropriate Play Type. For a Front Pair play, select numbers in the first two rows only; for a Back Pair play, select numbers in the last two rows only. Selected pair of numbers must match the winning pair in the exact order drawn..
Decide to play for $0.50 or $1.00. 50/50 (Exact/Any) plays can only be played for $1.00. Combo cost is determined by the amount played and the numbers selected on your ticket.
Select Fireball for more combinations to match and win. Fireball doubles the cost of the ticket.
Select the drawing time you want to play. Choose day draw (approx. 3 p.m.) to play daytime draws only. Choose evening draw (approx. 11:22 p.m.) to play evening draws only. Choose both draws to, you guessed it, play the next available day and evening draws. Two separate Pick 4 tickets will be generated: one for daytime drawings and one for evening drawings.
All plays selected will be for the next scheduled (most current) drawing only, unless you choose Multidraw or Advance Play.
- Advance Play: Select specific future draw days excluding the current day. Note: Advance Play is only available at retail.
- Multidraw: Play up to 7 consecutive day drawings, 7 consecutive evening drawings or both.

Your Carolina Pick 4 ticket can be canceled by the retailer on the terminal where it was produced within 15 minutes of the purchase time or within the remaining time before the draw break, whichever occurs first. Pick 4 tickets purchased with Online Play cannot be canceled.

Up to five sets of numbers can be played per play slip.

The Pick 4 top prize is won by matching all 4 winning numbers in the exact order drawn.
Additional prizes can be won based on play type. (See Prizes & Odds chart for details.)
The numbers you select determine the ways to win.
- 4-Way: set of numbers with 3 like digits + 1 unique digit. (Ex: 4445)
- 6-Way: set of numbers with 2 pairs of like digits. (Ex: 4455)
- 12-Way: set of numbers with 2 like digits + 2 unique digits. (Ex: 4456)
- 24-Way: set of numbers with 4 unique digits. (Ex: 4567)

When you add Fireball to Pick 4, you get an extra drawn-number for more combinations to match and win. A Fireball number is drawn following each Carolina Pick 4 drawing. When you add Fireball to your ticket, the Fireball number can replace any other Pick 4 drawn-number for more chances to win.

At retail locations, select Fireball on the play slip or ask the clerk to add Fireball to your play. With Online Play, select the Fireball add-on in the shopping cart.
Adding Fireball doubles the cost of your ticket.
Fireball can be played for both day and evening drawings.
When you add Fireball, you can win with both the Pick 4 numbers drawn (Pick 4 base game) AND with the Fireball number, giving you more chances to win.
All Fireball wins are separate and in addition to any other Pick 4 base game wins.

Here’s How It Works

When played, the Fireball replaces each of the four lottery-drawn Pick 4 numbers to create four new combinations. If your numbers match any of the four combinations, you win. It is possible to win multiple times with one play.

The example presented here will show an Exact play with three numbers; 1, 2, 4, & 5.
Remember, the Fireball number replaces one of the numbers drawn by the lottery. The numbers on YOUR ticket do not change; the numbers you play are always YOUR numbers.

Daytime Drawing: At retail locations, 3 p.m. With Online Play, 2:58 p.m. Online Play sales for the next draw resume immediately and retail sales resume at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Evening Drawing: At retail locations, 11 p.m. With Online Play, 10:58 p.m. Online Play sales for the next drawing resume immediately and retail sales resume at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Game Rules

Have a retailer scan your ticket and keep playing your favorite numbers.

Repeat Play is a feature available for all draw games that allows a retailer to simply scan the bar code on your existing ticket so you can replay your favorite numbers fast and easy! Repeat Play is an alternative to completing a play slip.

Repeat Play reprints all the selections from the original ticket including: your numbers, the number of draws, boards, play type, play amount, Megaplier and Power Play Option. Quick Pick wagers will be printed with the same numbers as the original wager. Tickets must be replayed within 30 days of original ticket creation. Repeat Play does recognize MultiDraw and will begin the draws on the first draw day available and continue for as many draws as the original ticket. Repeat Play is not available for Advance Play.
